  • Employees of Systems Plus Solutions (Mumbai, India) ran in the Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon on January 17, 2010, in support of VOICE, an NGO, and UDAAN, a Systems Plus CSR initiative. Both VOICE and UDAAN focus on helping underprivileged children. More than 50 employees participated in and completed the Half Marathon Challenge to raise funds for these organizations. Kapil Sanghi, a senior consultant with Systems Plus, completed the Full Marathon of 42 kilometers and was featured in the Mumbai Mirror, a newspaper by the Times of India Group.
  • On this achievement Nikunj Jhaveri, Founder and Chairman of the Systems Plus Group said, “An initiative like the Mumbai Marathon encourages every Indian to reach out to aid a cause or charity. This year, the initiative shown by our employees to run as a team in the marathon shows the zeal and the drive that they possess. This symbolizes the Systems Plus family’s commitment toward social empowerment and a desire to give back to the community in which we operate. We have always encouraged our employees to be a part of such efforts.” He was extremely proud of his employees’ achievements and congratulated every runner.
  • Through UDAAN, Systems Plus runs a program that imparts computer education to in 8th and 9th standard students in association with ASEEMA, an NGO which runs the English Medium division of the Sanatcruz Municipal School. The school provides basic education opportunities for physical and mental development, self-care, and vocational training for children in Mumbai.
  • VOICE is another project that Nikunj supports. VOICE works with street children and believes that education will help unleash these children’s hidden potential, provide equal opportunities, build character and values that will help them become self-reliant individuals and socially responsible citizens. VOICE also runs Sanjivani, a residential home and school for young girls living on the street, providing them a residential home with a nurturing environment. Nikunj serves on the board of trustees of the organization. Several of our employees also give their time to help the organization.

Of the many children to whom we have reached out over the past thirteen years, 4000 have acquired a basic literacy and are learning/have learnt vocational skills. Most importantly however, they have learned the values that will enable them to live in society, rather than on its fringes.
